Lincoln Pilgrimage Camping

Boy Scouting is Camping, and the Lincoln Pilgrimage offers great camping.
Some of the Camping options have changed this year, so be sure to check them out, and include your camping plans on your registration.
Camp Illinek Boy Scout Camp
Limited camping available at this great Boy Scout Camp located on beautiful Lake Springfield, just minutes away from historic downtown Springfield. The camping fee is $4.00 per person per night. Space is limited, and may be reserved in advance by downloading, printing, completing, and mailing in a Pilgrimage Registration Form along with payment. NOTE: No reservations without payment!
New Salem State Park
Every year Scouts choose to camp at historic New Salem State Park. You can visit historic New Salem Village where Abraham Lincoln lived from 1832 until 1837. These may have been the most formative years of Lincoln's life.
On Saturday evening Lodge 132 of the Order of the Arrow Native American Dancers will put on a great show. A strict 10:30 p.m. quiet time is enforced. There is a $4.00 per person per night camping fee. Space is limited, and may be reserved in advance for the Pilgrimage weekend by downloading, printing, completing, and mailing in a Pilgrimage Registration Form along with payment. NOTE: No reservations without payment!
Jim Edgar Panther Creek Fish and Wildlife Area
A 26 square mile tract of gently rolling west central Illinois countryside. this is one of Illinois' newest recreation sites.
The site offers a 17 mile mountain bike trail that follows the shoreline of its newest lake. This is a rugged trail through the forest and grasslands that surround the lake. There are also several miles of paved road bicycling, as well as access to a state approved bike trail from JEPC to New Salem.
Located 10 miles west of New Salem, this site is easily accessed by taking State Route 125 west from Ashland, then Newmansville Road north to the main entrance.
The site also offers superb fishing at 3 lakes that are stocked with bluegill, bass, channel catfish, and other species.
There is a $4.00 per person per night camping fee. Space is somewhat limited, and may be reserved in advance for Pilgrimage weekend by downloading, printing, completing, and mailing in a Pilgrimage Registration Form along with payment. NOTE: No reservations without payment!
